Featured Bed and Breakfast in Cripple Creek, Colorado

Located within walking distance from downtown, the SilverHouse Bed & Breakfast engages the senses with four individually appointed guest rooms upstairs (each with private bath), large great room, kitchen and ample parking.
Ground breaking construction began in the fall of 2003 with emphasis on completing the guest rooms. The interior design concept has a European influence using vivid colors, creamy plasterwork, dramatic heights and grand detail to whisk cares away. The great room and kitchen are located downstairs. Flooded with the sunlight that pours in from the windows or glowing under shaded wall sconces, the 912-square-foot great room manages to look sleek and welcoming. Breakfast is served in the kitchen where a subdued palette of beige and white provides the backdrop for new acquaintances during common dining. Future plans include, but are not limited to, a library for the great room, landscaping, alfresco dining in summer, afternoon tea and Internet access in the guest rooms

Area residents are typically outdoor-oriented and recreational activities include horseback riding, cross-country skiing, golf, tennis, fishing and much more. Nearby Mueller State Park, Pike’s Peak and Pike National Forest are the source of hiking opportunities, ranging from nature walks to back country trekking. A popular wildlife watching area, Mueller State Park is home to elk, black bear, eagles and hawks. With the park’s groves of aspen trees, each season is a delight for photographers and sightseers. For the rugged individual Garden Of The Gods is a 1350-acre geologic formation of jutting and eroded sandstone peaks ideal for hiking, climbing and horseback riding situated in nearby Colorado Springs. Suited more for cross-country than downhill skiing, Pike National Forest is as accessible in winter as summer.
For the more “soft” adventure enthusiast a myriad of entertainment activities abound in Cripple Creek and the surrounding areas, such as casual and fine dining, city-wide carriage rides, city-wide shuttle, Cripple Creek & Victor Narrow Gauge Railroad, Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument, historic museum, low stakes gaming casinos, melodrama theatre, Molly Kathleen Gold Mine, scenic highways and off road routes, shopping, and of course….rest and relaxation in the Rockies
