Pencubitt Country House Hotel sits in two and a half acres of its own gardens overlooking the rolling countryside of the Looe Valley. It has luxury en-suite rooms, a comfortable well stocked bar and a roomy restaurant serving full English breakfasts and three course evening meals with an extensive and varied wine list.Pencubitt provides a peaceful haven away from the madding crowd. Unfortunately, it is unsuitable for young children under 12 years of age or pets. Situated in the village of Lamellion Cross on the outskirts of Liskeard, Pencubitt has easy access to public transport. There are buses and mainline trains nearby as well as the Looe Valley Railway Line and it's only a 10 minute walk into Liskeard.Pencubitt is an ideal base for exploring Cornwall. It is close to the Eden Project, Looe & Polperro, Tintagel, Bodmin Moor, Plymouth and within easy reach of many attractions in Cornwall and Devon. Golf, shooting, fishing and riding are all available nearby and Pencubitt has mountain bikes for hire too. Walking locally or afar, there is much to see and do.Pencubitt has a large and comfortable Bar, with a real fire in winter for those cosy nights. The view from the bar overlooks the gardens and rolling countryside. The residents non-smoking Lounge is furnished with comfortable settees and provides stunning views directly over the adjacent Looe Valley. The hotel has extensive gardens mainly laid to lawn with trees, shrubs and hedgerows with secret paths and groves which attract all manner of wildlife. The south facing patio of Pencubitt provides a wonderful place to devour those cream teas or afternoon coffee. There is parking for twelve cars reached by the winding drive from the main gate. Pencubitt Country House Hotel has premier, small premier and standard - single, twin and double en suite rooms. All bedrooms are non-smoking. Many have wonderful views over the rolling countryside and all are equipped with direct dial telephones, colour TVs, tea making facilities and hairdryers. All our rooms are different and one even has a four poster bed. We pride ourselves on providing a comfortable stay in a relaxed and informal atmosphere and we will try meet any special arrangements you might have, such as Champagne, flowers, chocolates in your room, special diets, etc. We hope you will choose to come and stay with us.
