It is in many ways truly a park. There is abundant birdlife here and the fishing is excellent. There are often manatee moving lazily by and dolphin herding schools of fish against the seawall to feed.

Several of our family members have had exciting manatee encounters while out kayaking in the area around Chesapeake Point Park and Spring Bayou which surrounds the City of Tarpon Springs.

We are less than 30 miles from Tampa International Airport and all the exciting vacation and entertainment activities that Tampa has to offer. And, the City of St. Petersburg is even closer to you than Tampa.

We are also within walking distance or a short drive of many of Florida's most beautiful State Parks such as Howard Park, Anderson Park, Anclote Key Park, and the breathtaking Ft. De Soto rated America's #1 Beach.

There are many other places you can visit while vacationing in Tarpon Springs along Florida's Gulf Coast. You are within reasonable driving distance to Walt Disney World, and Epcot, and SeaWorld. We accept wire transfers and Paypal at this time.

You can spend time in Tarpon Springs and shop, and eat great Greek food and pastries at the historic Sponge Docks but there is also plenty of other awesome dining in the area. We think Ballyhoos makes the best sushi around and Wildfish is by far the best dining experience in the region. There are also a number of area art festivals throughout the season all along Florida's Gulf Coast. Not much more than a mile away is Howard Park where you can enjoy fishing, kayaking, jet skiing, windsurfing, sunbathing and swimming. There are plenty of picnic areas and barbecue grills among the moss covered oaks and palmettos there and pavilions can be reserved on a first come first serve basis. Dolphins are regular visitors and come in quite close to shore at Howard Park and along the seawall at Chesapeake Point Park. Several of our family members have had exciting manatee encounters while out kayaking in the area around Chesapeake Point Park and Spring Bayou which surrounds the City of Tarpon Springs. There are ample public boat launches in the area. If you prefer fresh water there is always Tarpon Lake with its Parks bordering both sides. It is one of Florida's top bass fishing lakes and has an excellent boat launch and picnic areas. There are also deep-sea fishing charters available and several golf resorts close by if that is what you enjoy. Tarpon Springs is within a 2.5 hour driving distance of some of the coolest amusement parks in the world like Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. Since any of these parks involve longer than a daytrip and a certain amount of planning, we have found that the drive is quite reasonable. Tampa is an easy 30-45 minute drive where you can visit the Historic Ybor City famous for its small cigar shops, restaurants, and clubs. There is the Tampa Aquarium, plenty of big sporting events and the International Mall near the Tampa International Airport.
