Located on the Gulf of Mexico, 1 hour from Gainesville, FLA; 3 hours from Jacksonville; and 2.5 hours from Tampa; Cedar Key offers visitors a step back into old Florida - Florida before the mouse.

Our Cedar Key vacation rental offers incredible two story views of Waccasassa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico from the living room, loft bedroom, and private balcony. Family friendly, Serenity has a queen bed in the master, two twins or a joined king in the loft bedroom. Casually, but tastefully furnished in wicker, soft colors, and serene artwork, our rental apartment is ideal for 1 to 4 guests. You'll want to take your shoes off, pour a favorite beverage, and relax on the balcony to watch the birds and boats go by.

Surrounded by the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, the Cedar Keys consist of dozens of islands (called keys). Some keys are large, such as Way Key, the primary key that the city of Cedar Key is built upon. Many others are only visible at low tide. About a dozen of these keys are reserved as a part of the Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge and several are designated as wilderness areas. The Cedar Keys Wildlife Refuge boasts some of the largest numbers of nesting birds in Florida. Bird watching is easy, whether you walk the shore or take a boat out to the refuge.

Cedar Key is also known for its excellent fishing and shellfish - namely farm-raised clams. Known as the Clam Capital of the USA, Cedar Key clams are famous for their sweetness. Of course there's plenty of other fresh seafood in Cedar Key - from redfish to scallops to stone crabs, everyone can find a favorite here. You will too!
