Florida Keys Vacation Cottages Conch Cottages on Oceanfront PropertyThe cottages are two bedroom, one bath, historic Conch Cottages built in a style popular in Key West one hundred years ago. They are on our oceanfront property, just a hundred feet or so from the water. The cottages were built back in the time of Henry Flagger's railroad, which washed away in the hurricane of 1935. But the cottages survived! Beautifully Restored and UpdatedThe cottages have just been completely renovated this year, and each is beautifully decorated with unique character. They have all the modern amenities like satellite TV (150 channels including movies, news, children's etc.), microwave ovens, telephones, and of course blenders! Other conveniences include free long-distance! (60 minute limit!)Tropical fruits including key limes, papayas, mangoes, and bananas grow throughout the property and make delicious drinks! Each cottage has two queen-size bedrooms and also a sofa bed or daybed in the living room that converts to two very comfortable twin size beds. They are surrounded by lush tropical gardens which are beautiful places to relax and meditate and just enjoy the fragrances and color. Great Family VacationThis is a great location for families. And we have a two person kayak for use by our guests to explore the ocean shore (it's normally very calm because of the reef). Or they can fish from the dock or swim in the oceanfront pool. We can arrange fishing, snorkeling, sight-seeing, or diving charters to leave right from our dock. (And we can arrange for a local chef available to cook your catch if you desire!) Close to Key WestWe're about halfway between Key West and the best beach in the Keys - Bahia Honda! So whatever you would like to do, it's just a short distance away! Access to the Back Country and the National Wildlife Refuge is right on our island! The best reef for snorkeling and diving -- Looe Key -- is just a few miles off our shore!If you want to rent a boat, a full-service marina is just a mile or so away. We also have limited dock space available on our property.We're waiting for you! Come join us!
