Lorgues en Provence is in the centre of the Var department and is an ideal base from which to explore. The coast is an easy thirty five minutes South at Frejus and Forty minutes to the North is the spectacular Gorge Du verdon. Aix en Provence is about one hour East.Locally there are around fourteen Chateau which you can visit for wine tastings all within ten kilometres. You can also visit the fantastic Abbeye du Thoronet eight kilometres away, the finest example of Roman architecture in France.
