The situation
The Theresienwiese is within easy reach on foot - about 1200 m and is also the venue of the Octoberfest.
A few metres away is the Sendlinger Tor underground station. It is a station-stop away from the Marienplatz with a lot to discover. Some interesting attractions are the Viktualienmarkt (a bustling, colourful food market at the end of the pedestrian zone off the Marienplatz) (a MUST), the Alte Rathaus (Old Town Hall) and the Petersplatz (Peter Square), the Rindermarkt (Cattle market), the Spielzeugmuseum (Toy Museum), the Stadtmuseum (Municipal Museum) and very many churches.
The main station is also easily accessible via the subway. From here the old botanic garden or Karlsplatz/Stachus are within easy reach on foot..
