You may be lucky enough to hear coyotes howl or the whip-poor-will call. Or, roast hot dogs on the campfire.

THE RIVER LODGE! Just built in 2004, the River Lodge is located on the Mississippi River on the River Road, north of the old Nauvoo Temple Stone quarry and the LDS Visitiors Center. The River Lodge faces the widest spot on the Mississippi River close to Mormon Springs. Surrounded by woods with a spectacular view of the River in front. Two family suites with 3 queen beds and private bath each and the Captain's Quarters has a queen bed and private bath. Each suite has its own private entrance. Satellite TV, DVD, VCR and an abundance of great movies. Kitchen is well equipped. Both locations are favorites for family reunions, large gatherings or a couples honeymoon or anniversary retreat.
