Located on the Butterfield Overland Despatch Trail near the Smoky Hill River and Smokey Valley Scenic Byway in Trego County, just a few miles west of Cedar Bluff Reservoir. You can walk in the footsteps of the westward bound pioneers as they made their way from Fort Leavenworth to Denver.
Enjoy exploring the many cow trails or hike out to the shale outcroppings to discover fossils. Several sharks teeth and fish fossils were found recently. Kids of all ages will enjoy running and exploring the area. Trego county is known for high populations of pheasant, deer quail and even wild turkeys. Reserve early to get the best dates.You will have permission to hunt on several hundred aces of land. There are also serveral hundred acres of walk in hunting in the area.

We have one bedroom that sleeps up to 4. Beds may be configured to 1 king and 2 twin or 4 twins. The rates are $70.00 per night- taxes do not apply. For extended stays, the rates are negotiable. You will have available to you the entire house with living room, kitchen, and bath. The kitchen is furnished with stove, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and cooking utensils. An evening meal can be provided to you at an additional charge or you may bring your own groceries and cook at your leisure.
Guests enjoy a full breakfast brought to them each morning. Breakfast includes fresh coffee, juice, entrée, fresh fruit (in season), and delicious pastries. Each day a different breakfast is served. We make every effort to accommodate special dietary needs.
