Lanes Cove House is a nicely detailed 1800s Victorian, cozy and comfortable. It overlooks picturesque Lanes Cove, offering spectacular sunset views. We are a 10 minute walk to the local beach and a short drive to the town's best beaches. Around the corner from the house are several interesting shops, and our quaint Post Office branch, filmed in several recent movies, including Moonlight Mile and Love Letter.Our rooms are tastefully furnished and equipped, with the comfort of our guests in mind. An expanded Continental breakfast is served in the formal dining room or, weather permitting, on the large deck overlooking the ocean. Breakfasts include several varieties of juices, fresh fruit, cereals (including granola), yogurt, toasting breads including regional breads and crumpets, and our special scones, freshly baked each morning. We serve our guests premium coffees and teas, and make them available whenever guests would like them.

The Village of Lanesville, Gloucester, is located halfway between the commercial fishing harbor depicted in The Perfect Storm, and quaint tourist-friendly Rockport. Antique hunters enjoy the 10 mile drive through small New England towns to shop in Essex. Those interested in the history of the witchcraft trials have just a 10 mile drive to historic Salem. Another city not to be missed is incomparable Boston.
