Bed and Breakfast in Mexico City ,the Hotelito San Rafael is a welcoming Mexican house, built at the turn of the nineteenth century, and located in the conveniently situated Colonia San Rafael (formerly known as the Colonia de las Artes, one of the first planned neighborhoods in the city). Only three blocks from the San Cosme station of Mexico's modern, efficient, and safe Metro system, the Hotelito is therefore just a few stops from the historic downtown of Mexico City (the Cathedral, Aztec Templo Mayor, museums, shopping, etc.). The neighborhood's traditional market, the Museo Universitario del Chopo, and the Museo de San Carlos are all within easy walking distance. The Hotelito is an owner-operated bed-and-breakfast. Cuca Valero and Miguel Legaria are dedicated to helping you enjoy the numerous attractions of Mexico City. If you have little interest in large, corporate and impersonal hotels, here you will find a quiet and domestic environment, the perfect base for urban excursions. Our rates include a delicious traditional Mexican breakfast, with fresh fruits, coffee, and hearty specialities like tamales, huevos rancheros, chilaquiles, and enchiladas. Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions (like lactose intolerance) or are a vegetarian, and our chef will prepare something special. We also can prepare lunch (including special picnics for day trips) and dinners at your request. Whether you want to try precolumbian, traditional or nouvelle cuisine, we'll do our best to accommodate you. The Hotelito has four spacious rooms (three doubles and one triple) and three modern baths. The rooms are furnished with a mix of antiques and modern furniture (of course, the beds are new and comfortable!), and are decorated with works by contemporary Mexican artists. Although the rooms have neither private phones or television (a way to preserve a certain peaceful atmosphere), we can help you rent a mobile phone, and get access to the Internet. If you are here on business, or to study, our dining room can be converted into a conference room or classroom. For those who are unfamiliar with Mexico City, we can recommend various archaeological or historic sites, let you know about museums and galleries, arrange studio visits, tell you about little-known places to visit (and tell you exactly how to get there!), send you to the flea markets, recommend the best new restaurants... we even can give you a class on Mexican cooking. In other words, we'll do our best to make sure your stay is not only pleasant and safe, but unique, like staying with a Mexican family but with all the freedom and privacy you need.
