Are you looking for the perfect getaway? Would you like gracious accommodations with easy access to Lake Michigan and Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp? Stonehearth is a beautifully furnished cottage-style flat that offers accommodations for three that include a full kitchen, living room and sitting room, all just a few blocks from downtown Montague.
Stonehearth is named for its rustic fieldstone fireplace, now outfitted with gas logs, that is original to this 19th century apartment.
The main sleeping area is separated from the living room by mission-style pillars and portiers. From the queen-sized bed, you can see the gas fireplace blazing on chilly nights, and two sets of French windows beyond, or pull closed the sleeping curtains for a more intimate retreat. A comfy rocking chair by the hearth is the perfect partner to a glass of wine and a good book after a day of antique shopping and beach walking.
Off the living room is a small sitting room with a twin sleeper. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you need, including a dishwasher. It's original built-in pantry cupboard with its bubbly glass doors now holds beautiful dishes, glassware and serving pieces for guests' use.
Stonehearth is a great place for a single person or a couple looking for a lovely getaway and a convenient base from which to explore all the offerings of West Michigan. It's also an ideal place to settle in and finish a dissertation or celebrate a special event. The sofa sleeper easily accommodates a child or adult. Central heat and air conditioning offer year-round comfort.
The home comes complete with pretty linens and towels, and lots of extras so you'll feel pampered and welcome.
From the steps of Stonehearth, you're one block from our home, just a few minutes by foot to downtown Montague, and 10 minutes by car to Lake Michigan.
