Situated on 26 acres of rolling Ozark hills this Savannah
style Victorian, built in 1893, has been carefully restored
by your hosts, John and Laura Dalton. As you turn into
the long driveway to the house, it will be as though you
are approaching a fine English Country Manor. Laura,
using the finest of wallpapers and carpets to complement
the exquisite European antique furniture, has tastefully
decorated the whole house with special emphasis on the
four bedrooms. You will be greeted at the door by your
hosts and shown to one of the beautiful bedrooms. All
bedrooms have private baths and are furnished with
either king or queen beds. All rooms are equipped with
individual heat pump/air conditioning units to provide
individual guest comfort. Breakfast time is another special
treat. Starting with juice, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and coffee
you will be treated to a selection of fresh from the oven
muffins and croissants and a selection of flavorful
porridges. This will be followed by a delightful selection of
omelettes, other egg dishes, waffles, and pancakes. By
previous arrangement, you can enjoy a romantic four-
course gourmet dinner in the romantic dinning room.
The Yorkshire Room is furnished with Victorian
mahogany furniture, including a carved mahogany king
sized bed, full 5 ft mahogany combination wardrobe,
dressing table with mirror and flame mahogany tea table
with chairs. An antique loveseat at the foot of the bed
faces the fireplace. The color scheme for this room is
antique rose and moss green, with off white lace curtains
and bed draping. The bathroom is large with full spa tub,
single inset sink, separate shower, and toilet. The
fireplace is the largest on the second floor and is
equipped with gas logs.
The Lancashire Suite is decorated with Edwardian period
furniture featuring a queen-size bed with iron headboard
plus a triple mirror dresser adjacent to the bed. A large
comfortable sitting room with desk and round table is
connected to the bedroom. The large bathroom features a
combination steam cabinet/shower for two.
The Cheshire Room is decorated with 19th century oak
inlaid furniture, full wardrobe and 2 dressers with an
ornate Lotus carved wood queen size bed. The luxurious
bathroom has a whirlpool spa facing the fireplace, plus a
separate double shower with pedestal sink and toilet. The
color scheme of this room is green, gold and burgundy to
complement the tile inlay in the fireplaces, which are
equipped with gas logs. This is the largest of the rooms
with fireplaces in both the bedroom and bathroom.
The Staffordshire Room is a bright comfortable room
decorated in pastel pinks and greens it features an
antique half-tester bed with velvet curtains. A single
person whirlpool tub, located in the bedroom, overlooks
the beautiful Ozarks countryside. The full bath features a
steam cabinet, shower combination for two. This room
faces west and has a view of some spectacular Ozarks
sunsets.
