We're close to Cooperstown, Adirondack Mountains, Erie Canal and area Recreational & Historic attractions. 1. Spring thru Fall, guests at Portobello Inn are offered full use of the facilities of the Mohawk Valley Country Club, which is only 500 yards from the Inn. We offer a round of golf, the use of the Club's tennis courts and its scenic swimming pool.

2. Weekday Getaway Special: Stay with us on Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday from April 1st to September 30th and take 20% off your stay (excluding Holidays).

3. Off-Season Special: Stay with us any time between October 1st thru March 31st and receive a 25% discount on your stay (excluding Holidays & Special Event Weekends).

North of Portobello Inn visit the Adirondack Mountains and the Lake Placid & Olympic venue. In season, enjoy day trips to and from Utica's Union Station on the Adirondack Scenic Railway. While up north see the Adirondack Museum at Blue Mountain Lake, Old Forge, Enchanted Forest and Water Safari and enjoy many year 'round seasonal activities. South 25 miles is Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame. Visit Doubleday Field, the NY State Historic Museum, the Farmer's Museum and Glimmerglass Opera. East is the Little Falls area. Take scenic boat rides on the Erie Canal and Mohawk River, dig for Herkimer Diamonds, visit antique malls, art centers, museums, forts and shrines. West 18 miles is the greater Utica area. Visit area colleges, museums, the Stanley Performing Arts Center, Ethnic Festivals, the Utica Zoo, the FX Matt Brewery, Vernon Downs Harness Race Track, Turning Stone Casino and Oneida Indian Nation, Oneida Silversmiths and many historic attractions and seasonal activities.
