History reveals that Becky's Gift Rental Cottage was one of the first 13 cottages built in 1892 on leased land from the Pennsylvania Chautauqua Association. In 1902 the Pennsylvania Chautauqua Association sold the land to the cottage owners. Our cozy historical cottage is available Year Round, Weekly and Extended Weekend “Get-A-Ways.“ It accommodates 8 people with 1 Queen Size, 1 Full Size and 2 Twin beds on the second floor. It also has a Queen Size sofa bed in the living room (with a fireplace). Some of the other conveniences are Spa/Hot Tub, Air Conditioning, Cable TV, DVD & VCR Player and Radio w/ CD Player. Also washer & dryer, electric oven/range, microwave, blender, toaster and coffeemaker. We also provide hair dryers and curling irons. We furnish pillows, bed linens, towels and washcloths. You need to furnish your own towels for swimming and sun bathing. Mt. Gretna offers a Lake for Swimming, 10 Miles of Hiking and Biking Trails, Summer Theater and Musicals, Roller Skating, Strolls through an Historic Village and much more. In the resort environment of Mt. Gretna, our cottage is located 5 miles from the Lebanon & Hershey exit of the PA Turnpike. Approximately 25 miles from the Harrisburg International Airport (HIA), 10 miles from Hershey, 25 miles from Lancaster, 1.5 hours from Valley Forge and the King of Prussia Mall. It is approximately 35 miles from Harrisburg and 1.5 hours from Gettysburg via the PA Turnpike and Rt. 15 South.
