Casa Miradouro is a Manor House built 1894 and completely restored and transformed in 1994, located only 7 minutes walking from the Royal Palace in the historic center of Sintra. Quiet location with spectacular views. It offers 6 bright NON-SMOKING guestrooms with private bathrooms, all with large double glazed windows and different decorations. There is a lounge with satellite TV, library, bar and fire-place. In the breakfast room we serve a breakfast-buffet included in the price. A nice garden with a terrace invites to relax. There is central heating for the cooler days.There are plenty of historic monuments, museums and beautiful scenery to be visited in Sintra and its neighbourhood: Royal National Palace in the town, Pena National Palace with its beautiful park and Moorish Castle on the mountain top, the mystic Quinta da Regaleira, Monserrate Palace and park, the outstanding Museum of Modern Art etc. The aerea was declared World Heritage of Unesco. Within a 20km range you can visit 2 more National Palaces, Queluz and Mafra (largest building in Portugal with over 800 rooms and a spectacular library), Cabo da Roca (most western point of the european continent on a 140m high cliff).Thereare also beautiful beaches close by (12km) and the fancy resort towns of Estoril and Cascais are only 15km away.Sintra has an excellent train service to the center of Lisbon (air-conditionned trains every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends). This allows to visit this city being based in a quiet location away from the hustle.
