African Shades B&B offers modern comfort in an African decor. We have 6 funky, spacious en-suite rooms with excellent beds and pure cotton linen. Rooms are decorated with flair and an African touch. All rooms have a private entrance and patio. Tea tray, fan, fridge, hairdryer, TV in rooms.

African Shades has a beautifully designed African Art Shop with a unique range of ceramics, paper mache, masks, paintings, lamps, clocks and African crafts. We support several regional Community Projects by selling their handmade items.

On the premises is a restaurant serving daily specials, an a la carte menu, home-baked treats as well as Illy espresso.

Our property is near the famous Drostdy museum in the historical heart of Swellendam.
