Just 4 lights to East Texas Medical Center & Trinity Mother Frances Hospital. We are just minutes from the University of Texas at Tyler. The Manor is set back on a large corner lot in the Brick Street District, and located in the heart of Tyler. It is nestled under many old Pecan, Willow Oak, Chinese Pistachio, Sweetgum and Magnolia trees, with ample private parking available.

Historic 1859 Landmark - The Manor dates back 145 years, which makes our home one of the oldest in Tyler, and was completely restored in 1992 by Richard & Patricia Heaton. If you like Queen-Ann Victorian, you came to the right place Just step back in time. All 7 rooms have private baths, most rooms have queen-size beds. The Manor features extensive original 1884 stained-glass windows and doors. Another big plus is our many decks, arbor, porches, balconies and courtyard for our guests to enjoy.

Delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast - Savor the aroma of freshly cooked bacon or sausage, and freshly brewed coffee, when you rise. Taste the specially prepared eggs, and potatoes, cooked fresh every morning. with pure maple syrup on your pancakes or french toast. Vegetarian meals are gladly prepared with advanced notice.

Unwind - Enjoy a soothing soak in the rear garden spa, watch and listen to wild birds, enjoy the trees, listen to the fountains, observe the koi in the fish garden, or just stroll the brick paths. Relax in in the courtyard, enjoy the tranquility under the arbor, or just pamper yourself and just do nothing at all.

Inviting Parlor - Snuggle up with a great book, read the paper, play a game, watch a video, or just relax. Don't forget to taste one of our home baked cookies prepared each day.

For the sport enthusiast - We invite you to enjoy the YMCA of Tyler, just across the street from the Manor, free of charge. Just a short drive away is the Tyler State Park, for biking, hiking, swimming, and boating.

Fine Dining - We have several good Restaurants in the area to recommend.

Golf - Tyler has several great public and private golf courses, some just within minutes from the Manor.

We welcome you to share in the warmth and comfort of our home set back on a large corner lot in the Brick Street District, and located in the heart of Tyler. It is nestled under many old Pecan, Willow Oak, Chinese Pistachio, Sweetgum and Magnolia trees, with ample private parking available. The closest Bed & Breakfast Inn to downtown, the manor is also located near the YMCA , where tennis courts, an indoor pool, jogging track, racquetball courts, weight room and other facilities are available. The house (which is approx. 4000 sq.ft.) features 17 original stained-glass windows, doors and transoms, original Oak and Heart of Pine floors throughout, chandeliers, and several porches and balconies for our guests to enjoy. The house is centrally air conditioned and heated for your comfort. In the Rear Garden , you will find our large gazebo-covered spa and deck, arbor, along with our 1920's Iron Ore fence wall, wishing well, Koi pool and Goldfish fountain. The 4 guest rooms upstairs and 2 downstairs (with fireplaces) in the main house, are all delightfully decorated and furnished with period American antiques. The Front Parlor is where our guests can visit and read from our extensive library. All the rooms have private baths, some with restored antique claw-foot tubs. Cordless telephones with FREE local calls, & wall-mounted hairdryers in ALL rooms, iron/board are available. Also, rooms 1, 2, 3, 7, & parlor, have cable television. We also have the Rockway Cottage , a separate carriage house to the rear of the main home, which can accommodate up to 4 people. In the morning, freshly brewed coffee services are available. In the formal Dining Room , you will find that a bountiful all-you-can-eat breakfast awaits you, served family-style on Johnson Brothers' Blue Willow, Friendly Village, or antique Noritake china with crystal and silver, while classical music is played for your enjoyment. Bring your laptop, we have both B & G Wireless Internet (WIFI).

Tyler is conveniently located 99 miles east of Dallas, TX and 99 miles west of Shreveport, LA. Abilene....277, Austin....226, Beaumont....192, Bryan/College Station....144, Fort Worth....130, Houston....199, Killeen....190, Lufkin....84, San Antonio....306, Texarkana....115, Waco....129, Wichita Falls....238 From the Dallas/Fort Worth Area Take I-20 heading east out of the Dallas area. From I-20, take Highway 69 (the Tyler/Lindale exit) into Tyler (6.8 miles) to Loop 323. Turn right on Loop 323 heading south to Highway 31 (also named Front Street). At Highway 31, turn left heading east and travel 5 lights up to Vine Avenue. At Vine, turn left going north on Vine Avenue. We are located just 1 block up on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert St. Please enter and park to the rear of the main house! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Austin/San Antonio Area Take I-35 heading north through Temple to Waco. In north Waco, take Highway 84 eastbound a short distance to Highway 31. Travel eastbound on Highway 31 through Corsicana, all the way into Tyler. At Loop 323 in Tyler, continue east on Highway 31 (also named Front Street), and travel 5 lights up to Vine Avenue. At Vine, turn left going north on Vine Avenue. We are located just 1 block up on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert Street. Please enter and park to the rear of the main house! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Houston Area A. THROUGH LUFKIN: Take Highway 59 heading north out of the Houston area to Lufkin. In north Lufkin, take Highway 69 northbound through Jacksonville, all the way into Tyler. At Loop 323 in Tyler, continue north on Highway 69, which becomes Broadway Avenue, towards the downtown square. At Highway 31 (also named Front Street), turn left heading west and travel 2 lights over to Vine Avenue. Turn right going north on Vine Avenue. We are located just 1 block up on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert Street. B. THROUGH HUNTSVILLE: Take I-45 heading north out of the Houston area, through Huntsville to Highway 79 at Buffalo, Texas. Take Highway 79 heading northeast to Palestine. At Palestine, take Highway 155 north all the way into Tyler. At Loop 323 in Tyler, continue north on Highway 155, which becomes Vine Avenue, to Houston Street. At Houston Street there is a split, so stay to your right to continue north on Vine Avenue. You will pass the intersection of Front Street (also named Highway 31). We are located just 1 block north of Front Street on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert Street. Please enter and park to the rear of the main house! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Shreveport, Louisiana Area Take I-20 heading west out of Louisiana. Continue westbound on I-20 to Highway 271, which is the Tyler exit. As you head south into Tyler on Highway 271, stay to your right at the split (with Highway 271 going southbound to the left, and Spur 147, also named Gentry Parkway, continuing to the right heading west). Immediately after the split onto Gentry Parkway, get into the lefthand lane to turn left onto Broadway Avenue. Take Broadway Avenue southbound through the downtown square to Highway 31 (also named Front Street). At Front Street, take a right heading west, and travel 2 lights over to Vine Avenue. At Vine Avenue, make another right heading north. We are located just 1 block up on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert Street. Please enter and park to the rear of the main house! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Tyler Pounds Regional Airport As you exit the airport, take a right turn onto Highway 64 heading eastbound towards Tyler. At Loop 323 in Tyler, take a right turn heading south to Highway 31 (also named Front Street). At Highway 31, turn left heading east and travel 5 lights up to Vine Avenue. At Vine, turn left going north on Vine Avenue. We are located just 1 block up on the right, at the northeast corner of Vine Avenue and Woldert Street.
