Schooner Bay Retreat, overlooking the Chesapeake Bay, provides a unique private waterfront setting, with kayaking, crabbing, and bird watching at your door. Travel back in time to 'where slow is too fast'. Enjoy leisurely biking on rural roads, or take a short jaunt to the historic Town of Onancock. At the Onancock waterfront, catch the Captain Eulice to Tangier Island, where some still speak the 'Old English' dialect. Or, stroll around Onancock (there are no parking meters), for restaurants, antiquing, art galleries, sightseeing, gourmet cooking supplies, gift shopping, movies and live theater. For a more modern resort feel, a 30 minute or so drive takes you either north, to the the famous Pony Penning island of Chincoteague and beaches of Assateague, or south, to the renowned Cape Charles golf course and marina. And, of course, Local Seafood...lots and lots of seafood
