Canopy beds, fireplaces, romantic packages, antique limousine, featherbeds, gourmet breakfasts - all this and more await you at White Rocks Inn. The exquisite Greek Revival farmhouse and landmark Gothic barn are both listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and the view from your window is virtually unchanged for 150 years. Across the valley lies the White Rocks National Recreation Area, the bleached boulders of the white cliffs tumbling down the mountainside. The Appalachian and Long Trails run across the top of this ridge, and guests can enjoy the many hiking trails and recreational opportunities of the area. Behind the barn is a trail leading to a picnic area with a spectacular view of the mountains, fields, and meadows of the Otter Creeek valley. In winter, this becomes the untimate sledding hill. Use our sleds or bring your own. Other winter activities in the area include downhill and cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and snowmobile rental. White Rocks Inn is within 25 miles of 4 major downhill ski areas, including Killington and Okemo. Ski a different mountain every day if you like! Summer activities include horseback riding, fishing, golf, summer theater, museums and historic sites. And of course any time is a good time for shopping! We are near designer outlets, antiques shops, the Vermont Country Store, craft shops and art galleries. Guests can enjoy a romantic getaway including complimentary champagne, specialty chocolates, long-stemmed red rose, a chauffeur-driven limousine ride to dinner in our fully restored 1939 Cadillac limousine, and souvenir photos of the evening. Secluded cottage has kitchen, living room with cast iron stove, queen sleeper sofa, large bath with whirlpool tub, private phone line, satellite TV, DVD, private deck, and loft bedroom with king bed. It is available by the day as a B&B accommodation or by the week as a housekeeping cottage.
