The West Seattle neighborhood is a well established Seattle community, primarily residential, with a well developed business district as well as several waterfront parks and Alki, a long beach area with a resort-feel, all just south and west of downtown. Bordered along the west and north edge by Puget Sound, the area provides some exceptional views of the water and downtown area. Lincoln Park, a very large waterfront park, is located just 2 blocks from Bring Your Friends B&B. This large park offers beach access, up-close views of ferry traffic, walking and jogging paths, picnic facilities, swings and play structures, and lots of quiet spaces, in this lovely forested park. Vibrant Alki Beach, with a resort area feel and excellent views of downtown, is located within a 10 minute drive through the neighborhood. Alki offers a long stretch of sand beach and a variety of waterfront restaurants. Worth the short drive in the evening for dazzling views of downtown.
