360° VIEWS & LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL! Enjoy the grandeur of southwest Washington’s Lower Columbia ship channel on a 110-acre historic Puget Island farm, just 1 hr to Astoria & 90 min’s to Portland, Oregon.
Take a break from the hustle of work and the fast pace of city life. You’ll be 5 minutes from Cathlamet, Washington’s antique shops, art galleries, and restaurants via a bridge and 20 minutes from Skamokawa, WA, the gateway for kayaking the Lower Columbia Estuary.
This fully equipped 3-bedroom/1 bath waterfront home sleeps up to 8 people: 2 queen beds and 4 twins. Our “bed and breakfast” is self-catered with everything in the fridge, including fresh eggs, compliments of our barnyard chickens, tea/coffee/creamer, butter, bread mixes, and orange juice. As part of your ranch stay, you're invited to tour the farm.
This Pacific Northwest holiday lodging is great for family vacations, romantic weekends, country getaways with friends, artist and photography retreats, for Lewis and Clark and other history buffs, and for wildlife, kayaking, bicycling, or fishing enthusiasts. It’s just 3 hours to Seattle, 2 hours to Mt. St. Helens or the Olympic Peninsula, and 1 hour to Longview or Long Beach and the Washington coast.

WE'RE A LITTLE OUT OF THE WAY, BUT WORTH THE ADVENTURE!
Cathlamet is a picturesque town overlooking the Columbia River, on Hwy 4, 20 miles west of Longview, WA. Established in 1846 as a trading post, Lewis and Clark also stopped here to trade with the local Cathlamet and Wahkiakum Indian tribes.
The local historical museums are filled with photos and exhibits about the early days of logging, fishing, and dairy farming. They also have information on the local Lewis and Clark sites you can visit.
THERE’S LOTS TO DO IN WAHKIAKUM COUNTY, AND EVERYONE IS VERY FRIENDLY!
We have antique stores, art galleries, artist studios, gift shops, restaurants, biking, hiking, kayaking, camping, fishing, hunting, wildlife refuges, lots of backroads with beautiful farms and old-time barns (especially on Puget Island), several pioneer cemetaries, riverfront parks, and a full service marina.
Or, hop the Puget Island ferry (the last Washington state ferry on the Lower Columbia) for a loop drive to Astoria, Seaside, and other Oregon coastal towns.
THERE'S LOTS TO SEE AND DO ALONG THE LEWIS AND CLARK TRAIL
The range of activities in the Pacific Northwest and Washington state is limited only by your imagination.
Explore the campsites of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark, take walks or bicycle along 27 miles of island roads or on the Bradley mountain bike trail off Beaver Creek Road, visit the Julia Butler Hansen House and other historical museums, towns, and churches, have a picnic at Skamokawa Vista Park, go antiqueing, drive through a wildlife refuge or the Gray’s River Covered Bridge, go golfing, go fishing, take day trips to Fort Clatsop, the Cape Disappointment Lighthouse, the Tillamook Cheese Factory, Mt. St. Helens, or the Olympic National Forest, travel miles of country roads, purchase fresh/ smoked salmon and locally grown goodies at the Farmer’s Market, there's nothing to compare with kayaking or canoeing in the Lower Columbia Estuary, or look up on a clear night and see the Milky Way and thousands of stars you never saw before.
WHATEVER YOU DECIDE TO DO, YOU'LL BE CREATING MEMORIES TO LAST A LIFETIME…
OR AT LEAST UNTIL YOUR NEXT VISIT!
